Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

How Good Health handles health data under Washington’s My Health My Data Act, Nevada’s consumer health data law and Connecticut’s privacy law. It sits alongside our Privacy policy, which covers everything else.

Effective October 29, 2026

The short version

  • Your answers about your health are only collected with your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
  • We use them to review your application, match you with a coach and run your membership.
  • We never sell your answers or use them for advertising. If you’re in Washington, Nevada or Connecticut, we share nothing about you with Meta.
  • You can see, get a list of who received, or delete your health data by writing to us.

01What it covers

“Consumer health data” is information that is linked, or could reasonably be linked, to you and says something about your past, present or future physical or mental health. For Good Health that includes your answers about your health, and also the fact that you joined the waiting list, applied or became a member of a program for people living with a chronic condition. Good Health is a program by Get Stack Inc., 10 Wendeller Street, Boston, MA 02127.

02What we collect

  • The conditions you live with, such as rheumatoid arthritis, and roughly when you were diagnosed.
  • What’s been hardest lately, how many good days you have, what you’d like help with and what you’ve tried.
  • Anything you write in our free-text answers, which may mention your health.
  • That you joined the waiting list, applied, got started or became a member, and the pages of our site you visited, which can suggest an interest in a condition.
  • Linked to these: your name, email address, phone number if you leave one, age range, gender, state, and your device and IP address.

03Where it comes from

From you, when you answer our questions or write to us, and from your browser and device when you visit our site. Stripe tells us whether your payment went through; it never tells us anything about your health.

04Why we use it

  • To review your application, match you with a health coach and run your membership.
  • To plan and improve the program, and to tell you about what’s most relevant to you.
  • To reply when you write to us, and to call you if you asked us to.
  • To keep the site secure and working.
  • To measure our ads, using only the fact that you visited, joined the waiting list, applied or got started. Never your answers.

We collect and use your answers about your health only with your consent, which you give with the box on our questions pages. You can withdraw it at any time (see section 06).

05Who we share it with

  • Service providers that work for us under contracts limiting them to that work: website hosting (Vercel), our database (Neon), email (Customer.io), site analytics (Mixpanel, which gets the pages and steps you visit but never your answers), team messaging (Slack, for alerts to our team, which can include your answers), call scheduling (Cal.com, which gets your name and email) and payments (Stripe, which gets no health answers).
  • Your health coach, once you become a member: your answers and your messages with them.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram), for our ads: if you’re in Washington, Nevada or Connecticut (going by your IP address), nothing. Meta’s tools don’t load for you, and our servers send Meta nothing about you. Elsewhere, Meta’s tools run on our main pages (never where you answer health questions, or after you pay), and our servers tell Meta when you join the waiting list, start or send an application, or get started, with the ad you came from, your device, browser and IP address. Meta never receives your answers, your name or your email address, and may use what it receives under its own terms. You can turn it off with “Your privacy choices” at the bottom of any page, and it stays off if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
  • When the law requires it: only what we’re legally required to disclose.

We never sell your answers, and we never share them with advertisers, employers or insurers.

06Your rights

Wherever you live in the US, you can ask us to:

  • Confirm whether we collect, use or share your consumer health data, and give you a copy of it.
  • Give you a list of the third parties and service providers we’ve shared it with, and how to contact them.
  • Delete it, including from our service providers.
  • Stop collecting and using it, by withdrawing your consent.

Write to privacy@joingoodhealth.com from the email address you used with us. We’ll confirm the request is yours by replying to that address, and answer within 45 days. If we need longer, up to 45 more days, we’ll tell you why. We won’t charge you or treat you differently for using these rights.

07Appeals

If we turn down your request, in whole or in part, you can appeal by replying to our answer with “Appeal”. We’ll give you our decision, and the reasons for it, within 45 days. If you’re still unhappy, you can contact your state’s attorney general: in Washington, the Office of the Attorney General’s consumer complaint form; in Nevada, the Office of the Nevada Attorney General; in Connecticut, the Office of the Attorney General.

08Texas residents

Under Texas Health and Safety Code §181.154, we let you know that your health information may be disclosed electronically. We disclose it electronically only as section 05 describes, to run Good Health, and we won’t disclose it electronically to anyone else without your separate authorization, unless the law allows or requires it.

09Keeping it safe

Your answers about your health are encrypted before we store them, and only the people who need them can read them: the people who support you, including your health coach, and the people planning the program. If a breach ever affects your information, we’ll tell you promptly.

10Changes to this policy

We’ll post any update here with a new date, and email you before a significant change takes effect. We’ll ask for your consent before using your health data in a new way.
